We’re excited about enhancements made to the User Agent String core field that give LiveBall users more visibility into mobile audiences. Easily view, export and analyze your mobile respondents by leveraging these powerful updates!

LiveBall automatically collects the respondent’s user agent string as a core field. The user agent string can be used to identify if the user is browsing on a mobile device.

The user agent string field is now available for @@dynamic substitution as @@UserAgent. It is also available as the “respondent.useragent” server scriptlet variable. You can use a Server Scriptlet (link to new post) to identify the user agent string and mobile device. In turn, you can tag the respondent with the mobile device type or save the value into a data field. The scriptlet can also be used to immediately redirect traffic to a mobile-optimized page.

In addition, the user agent string core field is now available in raw data which gives you on-demand visibility into how respondents are viewing your creatives. You can also include the user agent string in your data export by selecting it from the “Core fields” drop-down menu.
