LiveBall is designed for customization and compatibility with a variety of data export needs — just select 'Data Exports' from the 'Integration' main navigation menu, then click the green '+ export format' button to get started. Then there are two important questions that need to be addressed while setting up your export.

How do I want my data formatted?

You have four options for your export type:

  • Delimited (comma-separated) file
  • Post to web form
  • vCard-format file
  • Create a lead in Salesforce.com
  • Formatted Email

To set up your data export format...

  1. Give your export format a unique label
  2. Add a description, if you like
  3. Choose your export type and click Save

What data fields am I including in the export?

You can export data collected from the respondent as well as core data collected by LiveBall (segmentation, path data, etc). Begin adding the data to include in the export by clicking the green '+ format field' button.

To set up your data fields...

  1. Select a custom data field or core field from the menus; or combine 2 or more fields with the 'mashup template'. For example, a form may include separate fields for First Name and Last Name, but to export these fields together enter '@@FirstName @@LastName'.
  2. Optional: check the box if this field must have data to be exported. For example, if your CRM requires data for a given field for the lead to be valid.
  3. Optional: enter a default value to export for the field. For example, if a field value must be exported, but is not a value requested on the respondent form.
  4. Depending on the export format you've selected, additional information may be required:
    1. Delimited file: add the 'header label' for this data (optional)—this will appear as the column heading in the CSV file
    2. Post to web form: add the 'form field' name to match this data with a specific field name expected on the external web form post
    3. vCard-format file: select vCard field for this data
    4. Salesforce.com lead: enter the field name for your Salesforce lead record
    5. Formatted email: enter a "Key name" which is how the field will be labeled in the email

You may add as many fields as required in your export. Click and drag fields up or down to affect placement in export, as well. When this is complete, you're ready to create an export for this data.
