So you have your advanced rules set up and now you want to do some MVT testing. No problem! 

The rule of thumb here is: advanced rules will always 'trump' MVT—advanced rules take priority over any multivariate content. In fact, they really don't intersect at all. 

For example:

If you have an advanced rule on the page that says 'If this show form A'  and 'If that show form B' 

And then you set up an MVT test for form C and form D, the rules for showing forms A and B still apply. Forms C and D will only get shown when the rules don't apply.

The simplest way to think of it is that advanced rules always beat MVT for what is displayed on the page.
